BIO

I'm a creative and collaborative photographer working in London and the southeast. I’m here to help you with meaningful, original images for your family, business or project. I have over 15 years' experience in digital and analogue photography. I first started shooting friends’ bands as a teenager and later set up an online student magazine at university - just to secure photography passes for gigs! I operate part-time alongside my work as an architect for HUT Architecture. I live in southeast London with my husband Ollie and our zoo[!] -  toddler Clover Rae and whippets Flo & Fly.

APPROACH

I take an industrious and collaborative approach to shoots, supporting clients’ own ideas and finding creative ways to bring characters and creations to life. I love to work with friendly families and individuals for whom the work is personal, and enterprises making a positive impact with shared values. The process of hiring creative services can be mysterious, or even intimidating, so I aim to make professional photography accessible and stress-free with a transparent process, reasonable rates and fair terms.

SERVICES

I take commissions for commercial or informal portraits; family or couples shoots; occassional weddings; events; still life; product; lifestyle and spatial work. I can help with styling and direction during any shoot.

I can organise or advise on studios and locations as well as printing, framing and photo books.

While most commissions are digital as standard, sometimes I'm hired especially for my experience with 35mm and Polaroid film. Could that gorgeous, low-fi haze bring the perfect edge to your brief? Roll film is sent to a professional lab for processing & scanning and I finish off with light digital retouching. I can estimate the costs in advance.

Gift cards are available too! A photography session makes a thoughtful and heartfelt gift for a friend’s business, a student’s project, growing families...

PRICING

The variable nature of commercial and project-based commissions means that I work on a time-charge basis to cover travel, shoot, retouching and administration time, with rates agreed in advance and subject to briefing requirements. This allows flexibility in scope and approach to meet your unique needs. I can make non-binding estimates on the time required and keep clients updated, but charges will reflect time logged - no more, no less! Drop me a line to discuss your brief and receive an estimate.

I offer fixed quotes for more predictable family & couples shoots [or similar]. Quotes are calculated on an estimated resource basis at a fair rate to cover travel, shoot, retouching and administration time. For weddings, drop me a line to discuss your plans and receive an estimate.

All additional services are conducted on a time-charge basis. Expenses for travel, accommodation, studio hire, additional equipment costs, film & processing, books & prints, etc are fulfilled by the client or recharged at cost.

“Thank you so much for your gorgeous work! It's such a privilege to have great quality shots to market ourselves with. Everyone we've shown has loved them.”

— Orley, Wild Geece

BOOKING PROCESS & TERMS

You can ask me anything by dropping me an email! Browse my portfolio and stalk me on Instagram - if you think we could be a good fit, let’s get started...

We’ll start with a free, no-obligation video call to get to know each other and formulate your brief. The more information you can give, the better! How are you going to use your images? Do you have particular size or formatting requirements? Can you share examples of images you like? Do you want to create a book or prints? We'll think about key shots, outfits, props and poses in advance so we can get the most from your shoot. I’ll follow up with a fee estimate, terms & suggested dates.

I’m available on weekends, public holidays & weekdays with advance booking.

I am based in southeast London and spend time in West Sussex. I attend locations across the southeast of England. I love working indoors and outdoors with natural light. For studio work, I can provide a simple backdrop and lighting set-up or assist with finding a studio for hire.

Bookings are secured upon written acceptance of fees and terms along with payment of a £50 non-refundable deposit via BACS, later deducted from your closing invoice.

I’ll send a booking reminder at least a week before our session and look forward to meeting you!

Image selections for re-touching are usually at my discretion though clients may select their preferred professional headshots. For events or very large image sets, I can share a preview of 5-10 images on a quick turnaround with the full gallery to follow on an agreed timescale. I currently do not limit the number of digital images delivered - you’ll receive all of the good ones! Final images are delivered in high- and low-resolution .jpg formats via a Dropbox or WeTransfer link. Please download and save your files promptly. I store files on a minimum of two drives during processing and commit to retaining files for 6 months after delivery.

Final invoices are submitted alongside or following delivery of images. No VAT is currently payable. Payment is due within 30 calendar days of invoicing via BACS. IBAN details can be provided for international transactions. Interest will be levied on overdue accounts. I cannot refund or accept refusal to pay charges for images that I deem to be technically sufficient to meet the client’s brief.

The commissioning client is granted unlimited use of the photographic images. Please credit me! Images may not be re-edited, or passed/sold on for use by third parties without notice and payment of a license fee. The photographer owns the copyright to all photographic works. In order to develop my business, I reserve the right to publish photographs taken, including for media submission, portfolio and social media uses. Where images are unspecific to individuals or brands, I may wish to pursue stock image sale in the future, subject to agreement. I am happy to discuss image uses and take childrens' privacy seriously - please raise any queries in advance of your session.

“We can’t thank you enough. The as-shots already look great! Thank you so much for the quick turnaround”
